American Idol finalist, Jennifer Hudson On Monday January 15, 2007 won the Best Supporting Actress award for her roll in Dreamgirls proving that American Idol is a mere stepping stone for anyone lucky enough to make it into the top finalists.

With tears in her eyes she said as she accepted the Golden Globe, “I had always dreamed but I never dreamed this big. This goes far beyond anything I could have imagined.

Sonny James
Sonny James hit # 1 50 years ago this week with Young Love, which topped the Cashbox Top 100 Pop and stayed # 1 on the country charts for 10 weeks. After this Sonny's career capped off with 22 # 1 Country Hits in a row and 63 Top 40 Country Hits.

He also garnered 36 Top 20 Cashbox Country albums, 3 peaking at # 1. Sonny was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006. He currently holds the no. 5 position on the Cashbox Country Legends Albums Chart with his CMG Signature Series Now that's what real legends are made of.

Three Days Grace
was unsigned and living in Toronto when they were introduced to producer Gavin Brown formerly of Big Sugar and played him their songs. Brown picked out what he considered to be the band's best songs including "I Hate Everything About You" for a demo tape which Brown sent to major labels. The band was signed by Jive Records to a recording deal and to a publishing deal with EMI. Three Days Grace recorded its debut album in Boston and Woodstock, New York with Brown as the producer. The album was released July 22, 2003. The music video of "Home" is available for the Vol.1 Sampler Disc for the PlayStation Portable.
